LEGISLATION

Keeping up with the latest bills in the House and Senate is no easy task! That's why I intend to hire local Florida high school students to keep track of the latest legislation for me. And only FEMALE interns so there isn't any of that media hooptydoo about impropriety!.

For example, here's a look at recent action on the Senate Floor: S.1987, S.1988, S.1989, S.1990 - how confusing is this? S.1990 is a "bill to authorize the Economic Development Administration to make grants to producers of taconite for implementation of new technologies to increase productivity, to reduce costs, and to improve overall product quality and performance."

What is "taconite?" What does it cost, and how does it perform? How on Earth would I know that?

But by hiring high school students, I bring revenue back to the local community and increase the civic responsibilities of our young adults. If they can play today's computer games, I know they can tell me what "taconite" is.
